It’s Wednesday – hump day – and there’s a Tube strike looming. So banish the doom and gloom and enjoy our top three things to do.
1. Soak up the sounds of folk and jazz as you munch lunch
Take an al fresco lunch break and enjoy the music of Evelyn Cools and Amy Fitz Doyley for free. They’re the latest live acts to perform in Canary Wharf and their soothing sounds make for a chilled out escape from the office.
12.30pm, Canada Square
2. Get nutty
Try a a peanut butter and jam sarnie for £2.50 – the latest healthy take on a guilty pleasure whipped up by Carli Wheatley of Protein Haus. Head to the hut in Reuters Plaza for your sweet treat, which features high-protein bread so is perfect post-workout.

3. Drown your Tube strike woes
The pop up Aperol Spritz bar is calling Canary Wharf home for three days, offering its signature 3-2-1 Serve as well as the chance to pose and print selfies in an Instaprint booth. For those eager to delay the journey home there is also table football, ping-pong and a treasure hunt.
