Need a bit of inspiration for your day? We’ve found three things going on in Canary Wharf and east London for you to do.

1.Get into Le Tour

Why not grab a picnic and settle down with friends and family to watch some of the highlights from the Tour de France on one of the big screens in Canada Square Park.

2. Get more Shakespeare

Pop down to the Isle of Dogs as Shakespeare’s popular comedy Twelfth Night will be performed by Pell Mell theatre at The Space. This unusual take on the mistaken-identity strewn play is set in a Victorian music hall. Tickets are £14, £10 for concessions.

3. Get big-band fever

The BBC Big Band under conductor Barry Forgie will be joined by a 30-strong string, brass and woodwind section plus vocalists for a musical extravaganza celebrating the music of The Beatles. An array of live open air performances as the Twilight Delights concert series returns this summer and there is something to suit all tastes. Oh, and it’s free.
