The weekend is within our sights, but there is still plenty of fun to be had before then. Here are our suggestions.

1. Get some clobber

Be first in line as the new Superdry store opens in Canary Wharf.

Whether you need to update your loungewear selection, accessories or just fancy a mooch around, this is the stylish way to start your day.

From 10am, Canada Place Mall

Inside Out

2. Catch a flick

If you’ve got kids to entertain, head to Canary Wharf’s swish Everyman cinema for animated feel-good film Inside Out. The showing’s just before lunchtime – so don’t snack on too much popcorn. Tickets from £14.50.

11.40am, Crossrail Place

East Wintergarden

3. Soak up some Shakespeare

Tragedy The Merchant of Venice will play out from the Canary Wharf venue courtesy of a streaming of a production by the Royal Shakespeare Company. The Stratford-upon-Avon based production tells the tale of wronged father Shylock who strives to seek the ultimate price for a deal sealed in blood. Tickets £10.

From 7pm, East Wintergarden
