Need a bit of inspiration for your day? We’ve found three things going on in Canary Wharf and east London for you to do.

1. Bard meets bards

Get outside for Oddsocks' musical mash up production of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. It'll probably be some way from that slick film with Kenneth Branagh and Keanu Reeves. This one's a freebie too.

6.45pm, Jubilee Park

JP Newton is set to entertain diners at Boisdale of Canary Wharf

2. Mellow music

JP Newton takes to the stage at Boisdale of Canary Wharf as part of the venue's regular run of mellow jazz evenings. The singer and pianist can be viewed on stage with bass accompaniment from £4.50 at the upstairs bar.

7pm, Cabot Square

Members of the Canary Wharf Choir

3. Sweet songs

Pop up to the Roof Garden on top of the Crossrail station for an hour's worth of singing from The Canary Wharf Choir. The rep covered will include classical, African and pop performed by members drawn from companies in the Wharf. Free to attend.

7pm, Crossrail Place
