Get that Friday feeling and all that with our top three things going on around Canary Wharf.

1. Hold your Head Up High and Enjoy The Ride at this exclusive gig

Morcheeba’s Skye and Ross unplugged will play in Canary Wharf after they had to rescheduled their previous concert in April after the former gave birth earlier than she expected. The gig is sold out, but maybe you could loiter outside at Obica for free and catch some of it or listen to the band’s tracks on your iPod?

7.45pm, East Wintergarden

2. “Life’s a bitch, why not become one?”

Slap, by playwright Alexis Gregory, is described as a “shocking, sexy and sometimes sweet, 70 minute rollercoaster ride you’ll never forget” featuring glamorous transsexual prostitute Dominique in the throes of an emotional meltdown. Tickets from £10.

7pm, Theatre Royal Stratford East

3. Vroom yourself up for the weekend

It may be a press preview, but you could still be able to catch a glimpse of Race of Champions current leader David Coulthard and Infiniti Red Bull Racing F1 star Daniel Ricciardo in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The annual Race Of Champions brings together some of the world’s best drivers for a unique head-to-head race in identical cars to see who really is the fastest of them all. It will be held at the Olympic Park from November 20 to November 21. Loitering is free.

1pm to 3pm, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
