Greenwich and Docklands International Festival

It all kicks off on Friday, so expect to see lots of colourful and eccentric characters making their way and performing around Greenwich, Woolwich, Canary Wharf and the Queen Elizabeth Olmpic Park.

Midsummer Night Iftar

Halal delivery service HalalEat.com and charity Halal Food Foundation are hosting a multi-faith event to raise awareness of Ramadan.

Former MTV host Kristiane Backer will also guest host the event and there will be poetry, children’s activties, a mini bazaar and a prize draw in order to raise money for Human Aid our charity partner.

Absent Friends

Alan Ayckbourn’s comedy Absent Friends is at Greenwich Theatre on Saturday.

The story follows Colin, who is reacting very strangley following the death of his fiance. At a tea party Colin is euphorically happy, hile his friends are at their wits end.
