Status Quo say they will return to their musical roots for their gig at The O2 .

The veteran rockers will bring the Accept No Substitute tour to North Greenwich on Sunday, December 13.

The five piece of Francis Rossi, Rick Parfitt, Andy Bown, John ‘Rhino’ Edwards and Leon Cave promise a “thunderous electric live show” packed with new and old hits from their back catalogue.

Concert-goers can expect to dance to the sounds of Whatever You Want, In the Army Now and Rockin’ All Over The World.

Francis Rossi said: “We’ve had such a blast with the ‘Aquostic’ style, but for this tour we are going back to the sound that defines us.

“I read in the paper that we were breaking up; but we’re not finished yet I can tell you.”

Rick Parfitt added: “I guess the name of the tour speaks for itself, but this is full-throttle no-nonsense Status Quo.”

Support for the show comes from Wilko Johnson.
