1. Dance at Field Day

With a village fete vibe (there’s a brass band and garden games) Field Day is a great way to ease yourself into festival season. Head lining on Saturday, June 6, is Caribou and Sunday, June 7, is Ride

June 6-7, Victoria Park, £43.50, fielddayfestivals.com

2. Take a stroll along The Line

Stretching three miles along the waterways between the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and The O2 on Greenwich Peninsula, The Line features a series of sculptures from artists that include Damien Hirst, Gary Hume and Eduardo Paolozzi.

It was born from a crowdfunding campaign, which raised more than £140,000 in less than eight weeks, making it possible to bring art works out of warehouses and alongside docklands, rivers and canals in a joint bid to highlight the pieces and our London waterways.

Until December 2016, various locations, free, the-line.org

3. Watch a film at Roof East

You can catch The Big Lebowski on Sunday, June 7, at the screen, but there are plenty of other things do on top this former car park.

Theres some crazy aquaponics from GrowUp Urban Farms to see, community events to take part in and some good food and cocktails to feast on.

June 6-7, 9pm, Stratford, £14, roofeast.com

Llamas on Mudchute Farm

4. Let out your inner farmer at Mudchute Farm

Take advantage of the weather and submerge yourself in this beautiful city farm, where you can see slightly surreal views of Canary Wharf.

Meet the usual suspects - cows, pigs, chickens - and a few slightly less typical farm residents like llamas and Chinese painted quails.

Open 9am-5pm daily, Isle of Dogs, free, mudchute.org

Charlton Lido

5. Take a dip in Charlton Lido

Cool off (the predicted temperature of 20C sounds hot to us) in this modern pool, which was given a £2million make over in 2013.

It is heated though and 50 metres long, so it probably won't take long to work up a sweat.

Open 9am-5pm Saturday and Sunday, Hornfair Park, better.org.uk/leisure/charlton-lido
