Downtown Abbey star Hugh Bonneville will revisit his character’s taste for a lavish lifestyle and launch Sunseeker’s largest luxury yacht at The London Boat Show in Docklands.
The actor, known to many as Earl of Grantham Robert Crawley in the award-winning ITV drama, will team up with the iconic brand to reveal the 131 model at the Excel on Friday, January 8.
He will open the stand on the show’s launch day alongside Sunseeker founder Robert Braithwaite CBE DL as well as vocal harmony group The Overtones.
He said: “I am really delighted to be joining Sunseeker to celebrate the opening of their stand at the London Boat Show; particularly with the momentous launch of its 131 Yacht.”
The vessel is the largest ever Sunseeker model to make its debut in the capital and is the first of four new releases scheduled for 2016.
It will feature alongside seven more of the brand’s array of swish boats including the Predator 57, all of which range from 50 feet and more.
Meanwhile, the nine-day show will have an extra dose of celebrity sparkle courtesy of Made In Chelsea star Lucy Watson.
She will cut the ribbon for the opening of the Docklands boating extravaganza on the same day.
