Get your dad-rock jacket and stonewash denim out of the wardrobe – Deep Purple are coming to town.
The rockers, who saw their heyday in the 1970s with hits such as Smoke In The Water and Strange Kinda Woman will play a one-off show at The O2 on Thursday, December 3.
The band scored eight top 10 albums between 1970 and 1984, and still regularly produce new music.
Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Steve Morse and Don Airey form the latest incarnation of the band, which is no stranger to the big stage.
A release for the band’s tour states: “If you set a random play setting for the band’s entire catalogue, the result is one of the finest musical outputs to grace rock music.”
Quite a claim.
6.30pm, Thursday, December 3, The O2, £45-£50.
