Lace up your ice skates, practice your balance and make sure you have your I’m-not-bothered-I-fell-on-my-ass facial expression down to a tee as the Canary Wharf ice rink opens this month.

It will be in Canada Square Park from October 31 until February 27 (except for Christmas Day) and this year will be joined by The Tasting Room .

The rink is one of the largest in London and features a skate path that weaves through fairy-lit trees with Christmas tunes playing in the background.

Alongside is The Tasting Room, which will offer winter warmers like hot buttered rum, mulled wine and cider, plus cheese fondue, craft ales, cheese boards and charcuterie.

Canary Wharf Group head of strategic communications Ajay Teli said: “Our ice rink is the perfect festive venue for groups of all ages, with the unique skate path taking you through the dramatic setting of Canary Wharf. This alongside our extended Christmas shopping opening hours and free parking makes Canary Wharf the number one destination for festive retail and fun this winter.”

The rink will be open October 31 to February 27 (except Christmas Day), Monday to Friday; 11am to 11pm, Saturday; 10am to 11pm and Sunday 10am to 10pm, Canada Square Park, Canary Wharf , tickets are £9.95 for kids and £14.95 for adults.
