Hyper Japan is bringing its Christmas Market to Tobacco Dock - and there are plenty of unusual and fun things to do throughout the three-day event.

We have picked out our top five things at the festival this year:

1. Lady Baby

This group (seen in the video above) is described as ‘Japan’s quirkiest new music group’ and is headed by a former wrestler, who is accompanied by two young female sidekicks.

With their slogan of “singing and dancing to destroy” this lead apparently remains a 5-year-old at heart.

2. Kuli-Kala, Revenge of the Samurai

See this a fully-scored live action theatrical production featuring “Ta-Te” Japanese stage swordplay.

Members of 30-Delux who are part of Kuli-Kala LtoR; Sena Kaneda, Masaru Mori and Junji Shimizu

3. The Arabiki Hot Dog Eating Challenge

Anyone with a big appetite should enter this challenge to see how many hot dogs you can eat in 7 minutes.

Those who don’t have such an appetite should just go along for the fun of it all.

The victor will be awarded a £100 prize.

4. Okinawa “Buku Buku” Tea Ceremony

Experience a tradition from a mysterious place within the country - Okinawa.

The Ryukyu Buku Buku Tea Ceremony Akeshinono Kai association will be taking to the J-Culture stage for a demonstration of Okinawa’s unique tea ceremony .

5. Get arty with some sushi

In this partnership between Hyper Creative Studios and Sushi Art Surrey comes Decorative Sushi , a workshop on decorative “kazari” sushi.

Various times, Friday, November 27 to Sunday, November 29, £10-£39, Tobacco Dock
