October’s booziest weekend is returning to the Isle of Dogs with thousands expected to don their lederhosen or Dirndls for a special celebration of Bavarian culture.

The famous Oktoberfest celebrations will come to Millwall Park for two four-day celebrations of the best Germany has to offer in a tent with space for up to 3,300 people.

Around 24,000 Londoners are expected to visit the event over the course of the event, with an estimated 100,000 litre steins of beer set to be shifted.

Entrance is free on Thursday, October 1, and Sunday, October 4. Entrance fees will be £5 on Friday, and £10 on Saturday, with punters able to pay on the door. The same configuration happens a week later.

The event will feature Schlager music, litre steins of beer and traditional German food. You can even order your Lederhosen or Dirndl dress from here.
