Make like you’re partying in the Med – without leaving east London – at The O2’s revamped Building Six.
Sights and sounds inspired by Ibiza will arrive in North Greenwich on May 14 marking the re-launch of the events space and outdoor terrace.
At Ibiza Docks up to 700 ravers can soak up beach club vibes with DJs from London Warehouse Events providing a soundtrack to the evening.
The O2’s business development manager Becci Thomson said: “We’ve got Brick Lane curry street food from the East End and smarties and skittle shot glasses like in Ibiza, and cool cocktails in jam jars, some of which glow in the dark.
“We’re working with Light Motif which is transforming the venue using lights so when you walk in there will be motion sensor to show you how to get outside.
“When you’re out there on a sunny day it really does feel like you’re somewhere like Ibiza.
“The O2 is the biggest music venue in the world and Ibiza’s the capital of house music so we wanted to bring those two elements together.”
The event signals the end of a major refurbishment for Building Six, which also hosts club nights and private parties.
Becci said: “It’s the only O2 venue that has outside space. With a 700-person capacity it’s one of the biggest spaces with a terrace in London but we’ve got the ability to bring everything inside too, which can hold up to 3,000.”
