Fatboy Slim has announced his first ever performance at the O2 entitled The Night Rave Before Christmas.

The DJ, famous for his slew of hits including Praise You and Right Here, Right Now, will play at the North Greenwich arena on Saturday, December 17.

And to celebrate the announcement of the show, the musician has been confirmed as an official ambassador for Busk In London.

The initiative was launched by the Mayor of London in 2015 to protect and champion the importance of street performance to city culture.

Fatboy Slim invited a selection of buskers to celebrate his announcement with performances across central London during the morning rush hour on Tuesday, June 9.

The musicians will also be invited to the concert in December.

Fatboy Slim, whose real name is Norman Cook, said: “I started my career busking with Paul Heaton pre the Housemartins, we were called The Stomping Pond Frogs in the early 1980s, so I’m very proud to be a supporter of buskers nationwide. It’s a story come full circle.”

Tickets on sale for the star’s show at The O2 at 9am on Friday, June 10.
