Eerie Victorian London will again cast its shadow over the capital - and it will take one brave Eastender to battle the werewolves prowling the Isle of Dogs .

Twisted tales of 19th century life will be resurrected for Terror On The Thames – a bloody Halloween spectacular by the Bourne & Hollingsworth bar and restaurant brand.

Shifty grave robbers, crazed doctors and razor wielding barbers have all received a party invite – as well as the beasts who roam east London turf, those responsible for dissections in Bleeding Heart Yard and the split personalities at Hyde Park.

All will celebrate the deepest, murkiest moments in London’s Victorian history and literature on October 31.

Guests will venture alongside the river to an archway venue underneath Waterloo Bridge.

Dark Circus will be housed in a Big Top in a secret central London location and promises to whip up a host of tricks and treats.

Striking performances from the Torture Garden will set the tone for an evening of macabre thrills and fiendish frolic and expect to encounter everything from tattooed ladies and slideshow freaks to queens of the flying trapeze, lion tamers and strong men.

While weird and wonderful circus performances will abound, the bar’s signature drinks and dress-up activities will ooze a quirky darkness that’s both decadent and debauched.
