People love The Dixie Chicks. Formed in 1989 in Texas as a country music band, the ‘chicks’ have sold more than 30 million albums and won 13 Grammys.
Their big hair and bold songs have made them the highest selling female group of all time in the US and their brand of country music has won them a legion of fans here as well.
They will no doubt be stomping their cowboy-boot clad feet in excitement now that the trio, made up of sisters Martie Erwin Maguire and Emily Erwin Robison and lead singer Natalie Maines, are touring the UK for the first time in 13 years and will be playing hits from across the years at The O2 on Sunday, May 1.
Yee-ha, it should be a whip cracking show.
6.30pm, Sunday, May 1, tickets from £50.50, The O2 arena.
