Following her hugely successful ‘Callaghan Across America’ tour, and a run of headline UK shows earlier this year, British singer songwriter Callaghan will be bringing her tour to Canary Wharf for one night only.
The country singer will perform songs that include, new single we don’t have to change the world, after taking her house tour around the UK.
The original idea for playing in people’s houses came after Callaghan first moved to the States to record her debut album with Shawn Mullins.
She said: “As an independent artist funding everything myself I had to balance the excitement of getting out there to play to as many people as possible with the financial reality that touring had to make sense. So the question was, how could I tour in new markets where very few people had heard of me?”
On coming to the UK she said: “I thought it was time. We’ve been doing it for a few years now in the States, and this latest tour has been bigger and more successful than ever.”
She will be performing at an outdoor gig in Canary Wharf however through Country Collective, which will also include twin sister singers Ward Thomas and Raintown.
Country Collective, Canada Square Park, Canary Wharf, July 23, 7pm, free.
