Those wishing to ruin their mothers may want to take them to Greenwich over the next couple of months.
The Royal Borough’s Rivington Grill is set to showcase its selection of gins over the summer.
Its terrace has already been transformed into the Plymouth Rivington Gin Dock.
In place until Sunday, September 18, the pop-up apparently celebrates all things maritime as well as Plymouth gin .
Open every day, guests can choose from an a la carte menu of “seasonal favourites” and an accompanying cocktail menu that includes the Apple Smash, the Pink Gin and the Plymouth Summer Cup, all priced from £7.50-£9.
From 4pm, the Plymouth pennant flag is raised to announce happy hour (excluding Friday, August 19), where gin and tonics cost £5.
The restaurant’s Gin Bop will take place on the terrace on that Friday from 6pm when spirit enthusiasts can get their mouths round Rivington burgers for £7 before indulging in “silly games and music”.
There will also be a number of gin brands to try with tonic as well as gin-based cocktails.
Discounted tickets for the event will be available from Monday, July 25, online to offer money off the on the door price of £10. Tickets include a £7 cocktail.
