For chef Irish Richard Corrigan only seven days of foodie celebration does justice to St Patrick’s Day.
His Bentley’s Oyster Bar and Grill has devised an all-day-lunch for March 17, packed with traditional favourites like soda bread, smoked salmon, Galway oysters and Irish Stew.
Diners can also tuck into Irish cheese and breads as a live band whip up the crowds with lively tunes and dancing throughout the afternoon.
For those who can’t escape the Wharf on Tuesday for a Gaelic knees-up, more classic dishes from the Emerald Isle – think steak and Guinness pie and colcannon – will be on offer throughout the week.
At the chef’s other venue, Corrigan’s Mayfair, Corrigan’s Cocktail – Irish whiskey Jameson mixed with Chambord, lime juice, mint leaves and raspberries – has been created to toast the saint.
The St Patrick’s Day lunch feast costs £65 and starts at 12.30pm. See online for cocktail details.
