Canary Wharf's most tartan of restaurants has officially launched its summer terrace. Boisdale has hooked up with Gancia – an Italian Prosecco and sparkling wine brand – to give its outdoor space overlooking Cabot Square a makeover.

Guests will find fake grass underfoot, climbing roses, delivering a welcome splash of pink, and sharp palms in pots all around.

Drinks on offer include Gancia's various wines (including a complex, vanilla-led fizz) as well as a bitter Negroni-style cocktail fuelled by the brands liquids – ideal if you fancy popping out after work to watch the sun disapper behind the monolithic clump of Credit Suisse.

There are also heaters, should any British summer weather unexpectedly occur at the Scottish venue .

Shorter visitors may need to position themselves carefully as the green branding affixed to the terrace's glass walls does obscure the view of the Wharf from some angles.
