It's going to be lovely weather this weekend! So, if you're going al fresco it makes sense to have a location in mind.
Here are our three east London picks.
1. Greenwich Park, Greenwich
This is a spot of historical heaven in south east London, pictured below. Sit facing the Queen’s House as you tuck into an al fresco afternoon tea or head up the hill towards the Royal Observatory and follow up your food feast with a trip to stand on the Meridian Line.
2 Canada Square Park, Canary Wharf
If you fancy a post work picnic with colleagues, this is the place to be.
Pitch up in front of the stage for screenings of classic black and white films from yesteryear or just enjoy sandwiches as the sun sets.
3 Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford
You’ll be eating in a space once strolled through by Olympians Jessica Ennis-Hill and Mo Farah. Bring along a camera – you won’t be able to resist snapping pictures of the iconic venues as you munch.
