A floating cinema is coming to Tower Hamlets.
St Katharine Docks will be hosting a week-long film festival on a pontoon from Monday, August 22-28.
Guests will be able to recline in a deckchair or shimmy into a beanbag for two and watch some of the silver screens greatest water-themed films. Blankets will be provide to ward against the waterside breeze.
The line-up includes The Beach, The Impossible, Splash, Mamma Mia, Jaws, Pirates of the Caribbean and Life of Pi, Finding Nemo and The Little Mermaid.
There will also be a pop-up bar serving craft beer and cocktails and snacks.
Communications and events manager at St Katharine Docks Lauren Hill said: “The floating cinema was inspired by the unique marina environment of the docks which provides the perfect backdrop for our water-themed film festival.
“Visitors are invited to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a summer evening of entertainment complete with refreshments in this vibrant and fitting atmosphere.”
Screenings start at 7pm with weekend family matinees starting at 2pm.
