A weather-proof park is coming to Westfield Stratford City as part of a season of family fun.
An indoor section of the east London shopping centre will be transformed into a lush oasis complete with a sea of green grass, zorbing pool and ice cream stalls.
Open from Friday, July 29 to September 4, the park has been modelled on an English garden but is being given a tropical twist.
A team from Barbados will be hosting a series of events, which include rum tastings, domino competitions, flower arranging, face painting and hair braiding; all done in true Caribbean style.
Visitors can also learn how to play road tennis, a sport indigenous to the island as well as how to “wuk up” to the sweet sounds of calypso music.

Elsewhere in the centre the English National Ballet will stage a day of performances and workshops, and a flash-mob style celebration in the North Atrium on Thursday, July 14, Levi Roots – the host of The Wharf Innovation In Business Awards – will run BBQ events on Saturday, July 23 and 24, a Vogue Café will be serving up salads and fashionable treats, and visitors can hunt out the pop-up GIF booth and try on the latest fashion accessories.
Head to the Big Dance carnival style event on Saturday, August 13-14, for performances and workshops in Salsa, Samba, Flamenco, Capoeira, Dancehall, Hula Hoop and Bollywood dance.
