Hot on the heels of a record-breaking production of Mother Goose last year Jack And The Beanstalk is set to arrive at Hackney Empire.

Set in the kingdom of Hackneydale, it stars grande dame Clive Rowe and Olivier Award-nominee Debbie Kurup.

Will earnest Jack swap the family’s trusty old cow Buttercup for a handful of magic beans or will he stop the terrifying giant whose inventions for making gold are destroying the Earth?

Organisers promise outlandish costumes, bonkers baddies, glittering goodies and full-on dance routines.

All this, coupled with lots of silliness, laugh-out-loud jokes and live music.

Audiences won’t be stuck for opportunities to hiss, boo and cheer, that’s for sure.

Various times, November 21 to January 3, £10-£34.50, Hackney Empire, east London .
