Clown around at Chrisp Street Festival as the fun of the circus is brought to life.

Aerial acrobatic shows, plate spinning workshops and juggling are just some of the themed activities in store on Sunday, September 6.

Visitors can head to the Poplar patch from noon and pop into the Big Top for hula hooping and face painting or stroll down Circus Way to see a carousel act.

For those wanting a piece of the action, there will be fairground waltzer rides, a coconut shy and a battle with a strongman while live dance, music and poetry will play out from Circus Square.

The Bite Street Food Collective has rounded up a range of food traders including Spanish snacks from El Marinero, meaty favourite Oh My Dog and Back Street Diner.

Sweet-toothed guests can munch on Cat Food’s hand-crafted cupcakes washed down with a brew from Black Box Coffee.

Find the festival – organised by Poplar HARCA – opposite All Saints DLR station.
