Transfer deadline day last week brought a bit of last minute activity for Millwall after Kenny Jackett decided he had to strengthen his squad.

It was a tense time for supporters with rumours of players who might be joining The Lions rife on internet messageboards.

It was a busy final day of the transfer window for the area's three professional clubs, with West Ham doing the most business.

The Hammers lost star midfielder Scott Parker to Spurs, while forward Junior Stanislas also left to join Burnley for an undisclosed fee. Arriving at the Boleyn were David Bentley, Henri Lansbury and Guy Demel.

Valon Behrami has left West Ham and signed for Italian Serie A side Fiorentina.

The Swiss international midfielder, who has been plagued by injuries in recent seasons, sealed his move this morning, for a fee believed to be around £3million.

Millwall's FA Cup campaign is over for another season after a 4-1 home defeat to Birmingham in the third round last Saturday, so the Lions can now concentrate on our league campaign. Ipswich Town visit the Den this Saturday, fresh from their 1-0 Carling Cup win over Arsenal last night.
