A 20-year old man was arrested today on suspicion of murder and is being held in custody at a central London police station. He is the fourth man to have been arrested in connection with the shooting in July.

Teenager stable following Poplar shooting

Witnesses are being sought following a shooting of a teenager in Poplar over the weekend.

Police were called to East India Dock Road just before 2am on Sunday morning after the 17-year-old victim was shot in the back. He is currently in a stable condition in hospital.

The men, aged 28, 34 and 27, were arrested this morning at addresses in east and south London on suspicion of Mr Courtney's murder in July. They are being held at a central London police station.

The 23-year-old died of a gun-shot wound to the head following an incident on Banning Street on July 3 just before 11pm. No arrests have been made.

Police were called to Rounton Road at 10.20pm after reports of shots and found the 42-year-old victim with gun shot wounds to the head and leg.

The Royal Artillery Barracks, Woolwich, is listed on london2012.com as intended to "provide a stunning backdrop for the shooting, paralympic shooting and paralympic archery events," despite the fact that once inside the venue, visitors will have their view obscured by a safety net and exclusion zone.

The council's planning board agreed that the Royal Artilery Barracks site was suitable for Olympic and Paralympic rifle, pistol, trap and skeet shooting and Paralympic archery.

Thomas Scott, 29, of Tourmont Road in Plumstead, had been ejected from the North Pole in Greenwich High Road in the incident last February.

MURDERED club-goer Curtis Smith was gunned down just hours before he was due to celebrate his first wedding anniversary.

THE SHOOTING of a clubber outside a Limehouse nightclub has sparked calls for increased police patrols around the area’s late-night haunts.

West Londoner Curtis Smith became the 90th person to be murdered in London this year when he was gunned down outside Cable Street’s Club Red in the early hours of Sunday morning. Carer Andrew Denty, 29, from Waterloo will appear before Thames Magistrates next week charged with the murder.

POLICE have arrested a man following a fatal shooting outside a Limehouse nightclub.

The man, who is in his twenties, remains in custody following the murder of a 35-year-old West London man outside Club Red in Cable Street, in the early hours of Sunday, July 27.

The victim, who is believed to have been at the club with friends, was shot in the head and neck as he left the premises.

Police were called to reports of a shooting at 3.45am.

The victim was later pronounced dead at the scene.
