Chicken jahang, £4.45

IN A NUTSHELL
Sometimes it's good to branch out and this is a corner of Wasabi's menu I might even return to one day.
BAGUETTE
Italian meatball baguette, £3.70

IN A NUTSHELL
No beating about the bush, this is a fine snack. Excellent, taste, surprisingly filling. Just go down there and buy one.
SQUARE PIE
Steak and kidney pie and mash, £7.40
2/5
IN A NUTSHELL
While I appreciate, to some extent, that you get what you pay for, this is too much even for the tasty pastry and delicious gravy.
CARLUCCIO'S
Lasagne, £5.95

IN A NUTSHELL
It may look terrible, but there's enough taste in there to put you on that Tuscan hill staring out over the Italian lakes (creative licence used with geography).
EAT
Spicy chicken noodles, £3.99
4/5
IN A NUTSHELL
Half a lime in combination with a searingly hot marinade make this grilled chicken and noodle treat worth heading to Eat for.
PRET A MANGER
Pole and line caught tuna bloomer, £2.49
3/5
IN A NUTSHELL
It might be presented badly and have a pungent whiff of smugness about it, but this actually makes a reasonable snack.
LEON
Chicken curry, £4.10

IN A NUTSHELL
It might not look like much, but you'll enjoy a surge of toothsome wellbeing when it hits the back of your throat.
EAT
Brie, tomato and basil baguette, £2.69

IN A NUTSHELL
This snack was too light on flavour for my taste, with the exception of the giant blocks of Brie. Must try harder...

Just a quick tip. Looking for a bite to eat on the Wharf this lunchtime and an excuse to spend twice as much time in the sun? You could do a lot worse than head to Oi Bagel in Cabot Place East which is running a buy-one-get-one-free offer on all bagels. The disadvantage of course is you end up with twice as many bagels as you really need for lunch. Better make time for the gym later.
Christmas is looming and most Wharfers will be contemplating cooking a turkey with all the trimmings.
But the year's biggest meal often ends up as the year's biggest nightmare with overcooked vegetables, dried meat and overheated tempers.
