There may still be legal challenges but West Ham's move to the Olympic stadium is good news. Many months of uncertainty have come to an end, we can plan for the future and, although we will never get all the money back, the risk of a major white elephant has gone.

Crossrail has announced the Government is to fund 100 per cent of the price of its trains, totalling £1billion.

Oh what fun we've had. A massive vote in favour of House of Lords reform effectively killed off "procedurally" by a massive Tory rebellion.
I had six emails recently on this subject, so no mass public interest; but we spent two days on debate and the Government offered 10 more.

The entire country isn't opposed to the public sector strikes. Just those who haven't got jobs at all, those who haven't got any meaningful pensions, those in the private sector who face far more draconian cutbacks on their benefits, those in the small business sector who live with daily insecurity, and, of course, the army of parents valiantly attempting to arrange childcare as the schools shut.
