Any problems? Part closure of the Metropolitan mars an otherwise clean bill of health for the Tube system. A good service is also running on the DLR, although the escalators are out of action at Bank. On the roads, Creek Road / A200 (Greenwich) is suffering congestion as traffic signals are out of order. There are slight delays through the southbound bore of the Blackwall tunnel.

A DLR passenger was robbed at knifepoint by two men as he was leaving Poplar station.

The 37-year-old white male was making his way down the stairs at Castor Lane when he saw two males aged around 18 loitering at the bottom.

Christmas is here - and with it comes the usual spate of transport closures that will hit both commuters and revellers over the festive period.

The Jubilee line faces a four day closure. It is completely suspended from Christmas Day until December 28, with four rail replacement buses operating.

Christmas is an important time for celebrating with family, friends and colleagues.

But it is also a time when we remember those less fortunate than ourselves and those who are no longer with us. It's been poignant, therefore, that this week I have attended the unveiling of two new plaques.

I've been riding around for more than a month and it's been very enjoyable. But my intention in setting up this column was not just to see whether I like being on two wheels compared with a commute via public transport. It was also to see whether the cost of travel offers any sort of reasonable competition to the prices charged by TfL.

Boris Johnson's key transport aide has slammed Tube Lines over the delayed finish to upgrade work on the Jubilee line.

Kulveer Ranger, who advises the Mayor of London on all transport issues, admitted he was "disappointed" by Tube Lines' failure to meet their December 31 deadline.
