The Jubilee line has been suspended between London Bridge and Green Park due to a person falling ill on a train earlier at Canary Wharf.

The disruption has been compounded by a signal failure at Waterloo. Severe delays are occurring on the rest of the line.

Tube disruption for returning workers

Thousands of workers heading to Canary Wharf on Tuesday morning were hit by transport problems following a number of incidents on the Tube network.

The Jubilee, Piccadilly and Northern lines were all suffering major delays, while DLR users were hit by overcrowding from the knock-on effects.

aa-aug13-ritabensley1.jpgIsle of Dogs residents fear they will be marooned once the Greenwich Foot Tunnel shuts for maintenance.

The underground will be closed later this year for up to ten months, a move which has infuriated residents already plagued with tube, bus and DLR disruption.

00jul17transport27.jpgWharfers face more travel problems this weekend when the DLR shuts for engineering work.

The line between Canary Wharf and Lewisham will be suspended on Saturday, while the Poplar/Westferry to Lewisham route will be closed on Sunday.

Commuters faced major problems getting to Canary Wharf and beyond this morning. A signalling problem at Canning Town halted all services from Beckton and Woolwich Arsenal. A rail replacement bus service took some of the strain and the service started to get back to normal mid-morning with DLR reporting minor delays.

DLR disruption expected

All services on the DLR are currently suspended after a train came off the rails at West India Quay.

Further disruption is expected over the next few hours and it is not clear when services will return to normal.
