The unnamed man, aged 41, was jogging through Westferry Circus at around 1pm last Thursday when he collapsed. The London Ambulance Service was called but despite their efforts to adminster CPR, aided by security staff from Canary Wharf Group, the man could not be saved and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman was pulled from the river near Narrow Street at 1.30pm on June 22. She is described as between 20-40 years old, 5ft 5ins tall, of slim build and with dark hair.

Ferry death teenager named

The 19-year-old who was killed when he fell from the Woolwich ferry on to the propellor early this morning has been named as Ben Woollacott.

The man, believed to be a ferry worker, was pulled from the River Thames by the coast guard just after 6am.

Crane driver dies at Olympic Park

Investigations are continuing to find out what caused the death of a crane driver at the Olympic Village on Tuesday afternoon.

The Health and Safety Executive was due to arrive at the site to help police look into the incident involving the man believed to be in his 60s.

DLRsept1.jpgA man was killed after being hit by a DLR train at Custom House station last Friday evening.

The man, who has not been named but is believed to be 42-years-old and from Sutton Coldfield, was hit by the train at around 9.30pm. Emergency services were called and the man was taken to hospital, where he later died of his injuries.

A YOUNG Poplar woman was among the friends who died when their car veered off the A12 and hit a tree.

Elderly woman stabbed on Island

AN ELDERLY woman has been stabbed to death in a house in the Isle of Dogs.

The 70-year-old was found dead at an address in Byng Street late on Tuesday night. Four people have since been arrested in connection with the attack.

Police officers and London Ambulance Service crews flocked to the scene at 10.30pm, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three men and one woman are being held in custody at separate East London and City of London police stations.
