Despite craft the creation of our drinks the feel of this bar, at present, is one of style over substance.
The Factory House is billed as a haven for "the modern industrialist".
It's steeped in clever branding, hip pen and ink sketches.
Guests are encouraged to clock on, punching a card in an impressive mechanical relic, as they arrive.
Cocktails are easy right? You just pluck the ingredients from the bar, chuck 'em in, give it a good old shake and strain the contents into a fancy glass. Then maybe an olive or a chunk of peel.
That's why, if you come round my gaff, the best you're likely to get is something that tastes, at best, reasonable, at worst, lamentable.
The long wait came to an end two weeks ago when the Park Pavilion in Canada Square, finally saw its first leisure venues open their doors.
The frontage of One Canada Square has been transformed, and paying customers have been sampling the two newest additions to the Canary Wharf restaurant and bar scene, the Parlour and Canteen.
Canary Wharf's newest bar is getting ready to open and the woman behind it is confident it will appeal to Wharfers' sense of quirkiness.
The Parlour opens its doors on October 12 in Canada Park Pavilion and for Jillian MacLean, managing director of parent company Drake and Morgan, it will offer something a bit different from other establishments in the area.
