A gang have been jailed for a vicious attack on a teacher thanks to evidence which recorded them discussing the assault.

The victim, Gary Smith, was left with a fractured skull, a broken jaw and bleeding on the brain from the incident on Burdett Road on July 12 last year when the group used a brick, a knife and a metal pole as weapons.
