Jordan Cousins was questioned by Metropolitan police after the 12-year-old claimed the player had bought her a pair of trainers and then attacked her.

A 46-year-old man was arrested last Friday morning on suspicion of murder. He was bailed to return to an east London police station in early April. He is the 12th man arrested in connection with the investigation.

The men, aged 28, 34 and 27, were arrested this morning at addresses in east and south London on suspicion of Mr Courtney's murder in July. They are being held at a central London police station.

The arrest concerns the theft of several thousand pounds from the 77-year-old victim who had just withdrawn the cash from Barclays bank on Whitechapel Road to pay for his wife's funeral.

DLR services were disrupted on Thursday after a man was spotted walking along the tracks near London City Airport.

Early reports suggest he was carrying a knife in the incident which occured at around 1.30pm and saw the line closed for nearly half an hour.

Diane Wilson from the US Gulf Coast was removed from the building's foyer by police and arrested on suspicion of breaching the peace.

Bootys robbery suspect ruled out

A MAN arrested over an armed robbery at Bootys bar has been eliminated from police enquiries.

The bar in Narrow Street, Limehouse, had £5,000 taken after staff were tied up and threatened with a knife just after the London Marathon on April 13.
