eddiewebpic.jpgParalysed former stuntman Eddie Kidd is heading up the Isle of Dogs as he continues his Virgin London Marathon effort.

ff-apr7-spedding142.jpgThe Virgin London Marathon takes place on Sunday and it's unlikely the race winner will be competing for just the second time at the distance.

ee-apr22-marathon.jpgSunday sees thousands of runners hitting the streets when the Virgin London Marathon takes place.

Docklands takes centre stage as usual, with the bulk of the 26-mile 385 yard course winding round the area's roads. It's the 30th staging of the event so there's likely to be an extra special carnival atmosphere.

idcfrunners142.jpgTwo Morgan Stanley employees are banking on finishing the Virgin London Marathon to raise money for the IDCF charity.

Alex Hoare and Simon Loveday are both making their debuts in the big run on April 25, but are determined to finish to support the organisation which provides money for community projects on the Isle of Dogs.

FF-feb25-laura knight1.JPGIt's hard enough to train properly for a marathon without the elements conspiring to stop you even hitting the streets.

But that's what happened to Laura Knight, who found the start of her training programme for the Virgin London Marathon hampered by the big freeze.
