The singer who played ten dates at the North Greenwich venue last month shocked gig goers as she and her considerable entourage opted to take the Jubilee Line.

aa-Mar24-Stratfordtickethall.jpg A new London Underground ticket hall and entrance at Stratford Regional Station, which aims to keep London 2012 Games-goers moving, opened yesterday.

Passengers will now be able to enter and leave the station more easily and congestion will be reduced during busy periods.

Travel chaos as Tube suspended

The Jubilee line was suspended on Friday leading to travel problems for thousands of commuters on the way to Canary Wharf.

The signal failure caused a closure of the route between London Bridge and Canary Wharf throughout the early morning rush hour.

00jul17transport142.jpgAny problems? Jubilee line is running a good service. Minor delays on the District, Circle and Hammersmith and City lines.

A good service is reported on the DLR and on the Thames Clippers river services.

Out on the area's roads there are no serious problems, although traffic is building around the Blackwall Tunnel approaches.

BT is still trying to restore full phone and internet service around East London after a contractor damaged cables in a tunnel.

The incident affected 75,000 customers in the region at around 2pm on Saturday, and 25,000 are still waiting for their lines to be restored.

A faulty train at Canary Wharf caused problems for commuters using the Jubilee Line this morning.

Passengers heading into work had to deal with severe delays on the line from 8.34am, and disruption continued throughout the morning rush hour.

Any problems? There are a few problems on the Tube this afternoon, with minor delays on the Metropolitan line and the Hammersmith & City line is part suspended. The Circle line is completely suspended. Check the sidebar on the right for more details.

DLR? No problems today.

River? Everything is running smoothly on the river.

Roads? No major problems reported.

Oyster failure hits London again

CHAOS hit the underground system at rush-hour on Friday when for the Oyster card system failed.

It is the second time this month Tube stations have been hit by problems with the cards.

Passengers at Canary Wharf were told not to "touch in and out" at the sensors but to walk through the open barriers.
