Fire breathing, flexible felines on podiums and scantily clad hostesses were out in force creating surprisingly hypnotic visuals at the launch of Proud2 last week. There was some good music too. March 3 saw the opening party of the new superclub at The O2 arena, packed with a line up of live acts and DJ sets from The Mystery Jets, The Bees, Friendly Fires, Horse Meat Disco and Mr Hudson.

At a packed press conference on HMS Belfast, Spandau Ballet this afternoon announced they would be reforming and undertaking a five-date arena tour.

Michael Jackson will now be performing 50 shows at The O2 after more dates were added this afternoon.
The King of Pop's London shows, the last he said he would do in the capital, will now see him in residence at the arena between July 8 and February 24 next year - and there could be more to come.
Michael Jackson is set to make an appearance at The O2 tomorrow when he is expected to announce a string of shows at the venue this summer.
As reported in The Wharf last week the 50-year-old singer had been in negotiations to play up to 30 nights at the arena.
