An old favourite has returned to Canary Wharf with La Vista reopening at West India's Quay's Via.

The restaurant has had a three year hiatus but has been brought back by the venue's new general manager Steve Edwards.

The Ledger Building is to close its doors for just under a fortnight as part of a £175,000 refurbishment.

The West India Quay Lloyds No 1 outlet will shut from November 9 to 18 for a "complete redecoration", including new furniture and carpeting.

The West India Quay festival has finished after four weeks of bands, art, tennis and even a visit from 'the Queen'.

Michael Jackson was due to begin his 50-date run at The O2 yesterday. Instead, fans gathered to pay their respects to the departed King of Pop.

The Wharf talked to some of the people who made the trip to North Greenwich and West India Quay.

Michael Jackson fans are set to gather on West India Quay before their vigil on Monday.

Well-wishers plan to meet up at The Ledger Building pub in the run-up to their tribute to the King of Pop. Thousands are then expected to head to The O2 on the day their idol was due to begin his hugely-anticipated 50-gig run.

IF you’re after some tough love, the second Monday of the month could be one for the diary.

The Docklands Munch, a gathering of lovers of bondage, discipline, dominance, submission, sadism and masochism (BDSM), meets regularly in the unlikely location of Wetherspoon’s on West India Quay.

Anyone interested in meeting new friends on the fetish scene or unleashing their darker side has just missed out on this month’s gathering, which took place on Monday (February 11).

But they can look forward to the next event, due to take place on the evening of March 10.
