From this weekend Thames Clippers is launching a new shuttle boat service to ferry fans across the Thames from Reuters' Pier in East India to The O2.

Thames Clippers will be providing additional shuttle services between London Bridge and Canary Wharf tomorrow if the 48-hour tube strike proceeds as planned at 6.59pm tonight.
Extra services will also operate between Greenland Pier and Canary Wharf during the morning peak.

In the early hours of the morning, 10 years ago, Sean Collins captained the first Thames Clippers service with a total of two passengers onboard.
But if he thought that was a sign of things to come, he need not have worried, as the service celebrates its anniversary today with 13 boats on the river carrying nearly three million passengers a year.

Commuters will be soon be able to enjoy special deals when they combine river and rail on their way to work.
Thames Clippers managing director Sean Collins told The Wharf that his fast-ferry company was negotiating with rail operators to offer joint ticketing deals within the next few weeks.

Any Problems? After significant disruption this morning, the public transport network appears to have recovered. All Tube services are currently running without delay and there is a good service on the DLR. River services are also running well and there are no reported problems on the roads.
Riverboat commuters can look forward to using their Oyster cards on Thames Clippers boats before the end of the year.
The Wharf can reveal the company is close to agreeing a deal with Transport for London to enable pay-as-you-go Oyster cards to be used on the service, and the system could be operational by the autumn.

Any Problems? There's trouble on the Tubes this evening with severe delays on the District line and minor delays on the Central line. But getting off the Wharf should be relatively easy as the Jubilee and DLR are currently reporting good services in operation. THAMES Clippers is doing its best but is a victim of its own success, according to the man behind it.
The river boat service has never been more popular, with passenger numbers up 150 per cent in the last year. Closures on the DLR and regular delays on the Jubilee line results in more people turning to the Clippers to get to and from work.
A THAMES Clippers’ crew has been hailed as heroes after helping save a man from drowning in the river.
The crew of the Hurricane, based at Trinity Buoy Wharf, helped pull the man to safety last Thursday evening after he jumped off London Bridge.
The Hurricane – manned by captain Joe Maw, mate Ben Mann and deckhand Ross Myers – was about to leave London Bridge City Pier at 7pm when a passenger spotted the man in the water. He is believed to be about 35 and of Turkish origin.
The passenger informed the crew and the quick-thinking sailors threw the stranded man a lifebelt while they raised the alarm. A boat from the Metropolitan Police Marine Unit, based at Wapping, and the Tower RNLI lifeboat were quickly on the scene.
FROM Brisbane in Australia to Tilbury Docks, these latest arrivals are good news for Thames Clippers passengers.
The two river boats, each costing £2.1million, will be serving commuters soon.
Named Meteor and Aurora, they arrived from Australia on February 2 and will be added to the current fleet after UK safety checks and staff training have been carried out.
Like all of the new boats on the Thames Clippers service, they are 220-capacity and will replace some
of the older, smaller boats at peak times.
There are now seven 220-capacity vessels, two 138-seaters and two 62-seaters operating.
Meteor and Aurora were expected to hit the waves on Monday, February 18.
