Olympics mean little to Andi Osho

To those watching the news on their televisions, the Olympics represents a shiny stadium, laughing children running around and a big party next summer.

But what does it mean for those on the doorstep of the park? Comedienne Andi Osho is Newham born and bred and is feeling a little uninspired by it all.

Through the crackles of a recalcitrant iPhone, political activist, satirist and comedian Mark Thomas speaks of optimism and depression.

In March last year he decided for "fun, curiosity and a love of rambling" to take his first trip to Israel with the aim of walking the 472 mile length of its controversial West Bank separation barrier.

Cramming all seven Harry Potter books into a 70-minute stage show is no mean feat – especially when there are only two of you.

But Blue Peter favourites Dan and Jeff have done just that in Potted Potter: The Unauthorised Harry Experience and they’ll be bringing a touch of Hogwarts magic to Stratford Circus this weekend.

With Jeff taking the role of boy wizard Harry, Dan, who used to live in Canning Town, has his work cut out – playing every other character.
