Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur have won the latest round in the battle to take possession of the Olympic Stadium after 2012.

The club has won permission to mount a legal challenge to the decision by the Olympic Park Legacy Company to award the stadium to West Ham.

West Ham and Newham have been selected as the preferred bidder to take over the Olympic Stadium once the Games are over.

Baroness Ford, chairwoman of the Olympic Park Legacy Company, made the announcement this morning, although the result had been widely touted.

The Irons will have to be at their defensive best to deal with Spurs' free-scoring attack, which put five past Hull in midweek.
