The 200m sprinter was at The O2 this morning to help launch the Sony Ericsson Run To The Beat, which takes place in the borough on Sunday, September 27.

THE Run to the Beat half-marathon will see thousands of runners take to the streets of Greenwich on Sunday – but do not be surprised to see one competitor walking.

Jo Jackson, Britain’s top female race walker, is taking part in the race.

But she will not be breaking her stride to try to outrun her fellow athletes.

She said: “There’s absolutely no temptation to run. Once you get your technique right it’s hard to break the rhythm so you don’t want to run."
