four seasons142.JPGA vegetarian and a coeliac walk into a bar. Not the start of a bad joke or an excuse to close the kitchen but the beginning of an evening at Quadrato, the restaurant at Four Seasons Canary Wharf.

Our fickle summer forced us to abandon plans to eat on the terrace but the dining room's welcoming wintery palette of dark wood and burgundy plush fabrics made for a cosy alternative.

But the luxury establishment in Westferry Circus hopes to tempt in hard-working Wharfers pushed for time with its recently launched menu, designed to provide healthy food at affordable prices.

Looking for a quiet place to enjoy a spot of lunch here at the Wharf, you’d have to agree with the sage.

We once heard a man speak of a place, a haven of peace and tranquillity amidst the hurly burly of lunchtime dining. We thought he was touched by the sun. For certain, it was an urban myth.
