But that's not the life for the founder of Wapping-based employment security checking firm Powerchex.

A takeover of pre-employment screening firm Powerchex which will result in around 150 new jobs at the company has been announced.

The Wapping-based company was acquired by US firm HireRight on Tuesday. The deal will see Powerchex, set up by Alexandra Kelly in 2005, expand its operations.

The recession and growing unemployment is causing more and more young people to lie on their job applications.

That's the view of Powerchex, a Wapping-based pre-employment screening company, which carried out a survey of more than 4,700 CVs between June last year and May this year.
