A sold-out Lee Evans show at The O2 has been rearranged for next Monday after a collapsed water pipe saw the event cancelled.

The comedian, who is in the middle of a six night run at the Greenwich Arena, was said to be disappointed after fans were turned away from Sunday night's gig just hours before the performance began.

O2 Skywalk gets the go-ahead

skywalk.jpgA walkway across the top of the O2 has received the green light from Greenwich Council and is expected to be completed in time for next year's Olympic Games.

The 190 metre long temporary Skywalk will take up to 90 people at a time between two of the building's distinctive yellow pylons to an observation platform.

An application to Greenwich Council has requested the, "erection of a walkway across the arch of the O2 with two ancillary pavilions at its northern and southern ends."

Bieber fever reaches the O2

Armed with banners, roses and the obligatory Justin Bieber t-shirt, fans ran screaming from the station to the venue entrance where they joined forces to belt out the singer's hits.

A group of men who violently assaulted a passenger on the Jubilee line and gave homophobic abuse to another are being hunted by police.

The incident took place on a westbound line train on December 7 after a Suede gig at the North Greenwich arena.

Fight leaves five with stab wounds

A fight which took place just outside North Greenwich Tube station in the early hours of Monday morning has put five young men in hospital.

Officers were called to the area at 2am following reports that a man in his late teens had been stabbed near The O2 arena.

The musician was due to perform in the O2 arena club on June 12, but the event has now been scrapped due to a "timing issue".

A man arrested following a stabbing at a music awards at the Indigo2 has been bailed.

Greenwich CID have ordered the 21-year-old to return to a south London police station in January. It follows an incident at the Urban Music Awards at 10.10pm on Saturday night.

In 1997, Doctor Gunther von Hagens invented plastination, a form of using fat and fluids to prevent dead bodies decaying.
