This Saturday's friendly against Villareal will see the the claret and blue number six permanently withdrawn from the squad list, following approval from the Premier League.

Next month marks the 50th anniversary of Moore's first-team debut for the Irons. He went on to play 643 games for the club, leading them to triumph in the FA Cup in 1964 and the Cup Winners Cup in 1965.

West Ham United have been chosen to take part in the 2008 Pepsi MLS All-Star Game in Toronto, Canada on Thursday, July 24.

The match, which kicks off at 7pm local time, will see the Hammers take on the cream of Major League Soccer's players, and possibly LA Galaxy's David Beckham.

The fixture, which will be televised worldwide, will be played at BMO Field, home of Toronto FC. Last year's game saw the All-Stars beat Celtic 2-0.
