It's brought a decade of fun and big name entertainment to the Excel centre and its organisers say it's about to get bigger.

The MCM Expo has been a mecca for those who have a penchant for dressing up as X-Men and Star Wars characters. This year it celebrates 10 years at the Docklands convention centre with another host of stars.

A record 376 video game - or "cosplay" - characters turned up at Excel's MCM Expo over the weekend. The gathering beat the total of 342 set by the previous exhibition last October.

If you had bionic limbs and super strength, would you tackle the forces of evil, or sort out that stubborn mayo tin lurking in the cupboard?

As the star of the 1970s TV series The Bionic Woman, Lindsay Wagner was always keen to stress that great power didn't have to come with great beatings.
