Emergency services have resumed the search for a man's body in the River Thames.

They were called out at around 8.50pm yesterday after the man was reported to have fallen in close to the Sir Steve Redgrave Bridge and the University of East London. The search was called off after two hours and resumed today.

A fire has broken out on the fourth floor of a block of flats in Idonia Street, Deptford. London Fire brigade has six engines and 30 firefighters working at the scene.
